With AirLink XR80’s advanced navigation system, Harold’s cooperative was able to implement a computer-aided dispatch and automated vehicle location (CAD/AVL) platform that improves communications and lets dispatch know the position and status of all vehicles at all times. With the AirLink XR80's intuitive user interface, developed by Sierra Wireless, Harold set up the system including security without external help. AirLink Management Service (ALMS) and Out-of-Band Management, enable his team to easily monitor and maintain the health and security of their routers.
Each router is purpose built for rugged environments with IP64 rated aluminum die-cast housings that meet MIL-STD-810G standards. After installing ultra-wide band Mobile Mark LTMWG944 antennas, 4G/5G LTE signals and Wi-Fi coverage inside and outside of each vehicle gets a major boost in strength and reliability. And with the addition of an MRM3 WiFi antenna, vehicles can automatically scan for depots to initiate automated data dumps.
