Pop-Up and Mobile COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination Facilities
Networking Temporary Healthcare Facilities
County health departments across North Carolina are working out the best ways to test and vaccinate as many residents as possible, as quickly as possible, to slow, and stop, the spread of COVID-19 across the state. Many have reached out to the team at USAT to help put parts of their newest plans into action. As an essential communications service provider, USAT was eager to help them in their fight against the coronavirus.
Drive-Through COVID Testing
More than one local health department decided the best way to expedite testing and vaccinations, while maintaining the highest safety standards possible, was to create drive-through testing stations outside of major population centers.
One problem they faced during the planning stages of this solution was that the best locations for these pop-up testing centers were outside of the health departments network.
Cradlepoint IBR900 Mobile Routers
As many of these clients were already familiar with Cradlepoint endpoints and accompanying device management software, we were able to recommend a specific variant of the IBR900 Router with a Mobile NetCloud license to suit their organizations needs.
On-site medical teams were able to easily connect laptops and other smart devices via the secure WiFi provided by the IBR900. Medical teams were able to simply and securely communicate sensitive patient data with administration teams back at HQ.
With these endpoints installed at each pop-up medical site, health department staff was able to easily register, configure, and update their devices remotely.
USAT can provide your healthcare organization the complete communications solutions it needs to support the success of your mobile and pop-up medical facilities.
Mobile COVID Vaccination Clinics
Several medical centers that reached out to USAT were located in counties where residents were spread out in remote areas. Part of their planning process was to figure out the best way to bring testing and vaccination services to rural communities.
They had medically equipped recreational vehicles as part of their community outreach programs, but it had been some time since those vehicles had received cellular equipment upgrades.
AirLink MP70 Vehicle Routers
Many of our medical clientele with mobile clinics decided quickly to use them for on-demand COVID-19 testing and vaccination. Others, who didn’t have mobile facilities, began the process of procuring and outfitting them for medical services. In this instance, our clients needed robust solutions that would allow hospital administrators to remotely monitor these facilities while on-site and on-the-move.
