ALEOS 4.15.4 Release Notes

Our manufacturing partners at Sierra Wireless are pleased to announce the General Availability of ALEOS 4.15.4 for Airlink® RV55, LX60, LX40 gateways. ALEOS 4.15.4 includes a change that supports additional eSIM component suppliers and will begin to ship from Sierra’s factories in AirLink ALEOS gateways that contain a WP76xx cellular radio module, as additional eSIMs become available:

• New AirLink routers that ship from the factory with ALEOS 4.15.4 should not be downgraded to a previous ALEOS version
• If you try to downgrade an AirLink ALEOS router that uses the new eSIM components, you will see an error message and the downgrade will be prevented
• Your existing routers will continue to support downgrades, even after upgrading to ALEOS 4.15.4

Customers using our AirLink Management Service (ALMS), AirLink Mobility Manager (AMM) or AirLink Manager (AM) are encouraged to upgrade to the release remotely/over-the-air. If you are not currently using ALMS, this is a great opportunity to begin using ALMS to realize the benefits of managing your AirLink gateways remotely. ALMS greatly simplifies managing AirLink gateways, can save the cost of a truck-roll, and allows AirLink gateways to remain up to date with the latest firmware and security updates.
